Chintan Desai's statement on FCC's Net Neutrality vote

Helena, AR (December 15, 2017) -- On December 14, 2017, the Federal Communications Commission voted to repeal the Obama-era net neutrality protections much to the shock of millions of Americans.

Net neutrality provides equal access to every single website or Internet service to every single Internet user. Without these guidelines in place, ISPs can pick and choose what content is available, how it can be viewed, and how much it should cost.

Congressman Rick Crawford opposes net neutrality protections which provide rural Arkansans with even the most basic access to information and communication. Crawford has consistently overlooked those in need in favor of large corporations seeking to make an extra dollar.

Chintan Desai, Democratic candidate for Arkansas’s First Congressional District is prepared to debate Congressman Crawford over the coming months in the fight to safeguard our right to the Internet as an essential public utility.
